Bjørn Penk (NO/US) is a systemic designer, artist, and birder based in Reykjavík, Iceland. Working at the intersection of social design and performing arts, Bjørn is a self-proclaimed postartistic practitioner and design activist.

As of late, his practice has been focused on experimenting with novel ways of connecting birds and humans. This has manifested itself in artistic productions exploring these relations, as well as cross-disciplinary collaborations across the Nordic region, pushing for diversifying approaches to conservancy and multi-species care.

It also occasionally happens that he must drop whatever he has in his hands in order to get to a rare bird as fast as possible, with the hopes of observing it before it flies away.
