Researching by Workshop

In order to inform the DRP and our emerging understanding of our project, moved by movements, Benjamin Romm and I held several research-oriented workshops. Differing from workshops where participants leave with a specific skill or material, our workshops focused rather on how we could create the foundation of something together, whether it was a space, an opportunity or an event. Who are we as observers, interveners, and story makers? How fast does a sky change, and who follows my tracks in the snow?

The workshop, Hvordan deler vi følelser knyttet til forandring?, was the introductory research-oriented workshop informing my systemic design diploma, moved by movements, made in collaboration with Benjamin Romm at AHO. The workshop instigated reflection around questions of change, prompting ways of internalizing and externalizing observations of past, present, and predicted altering of landscape, culture and politics. It included observational exercises, discussions and collaborative mapping, and laid the fundament for the experimental culture surrounding our project. An exhilarating and massively insightful event.

Participants included, amongst others, representatives from, SABIMA, Nturvernforbundet, Arbeidsgruppa Ny Von and AHO. Thanks to all the participants for making the event remarkable.
