TRASH CAN VOCABULARIES

TRASH CAN VOCABULARIES is a performative soundwalk by Gosia Trajkowska, Bjørn Penk and Agata Lech that merges systemic design and performing arts into a shared urban experience. Set around SORPA Grandi, the walk explores waste and the politics of what remains.

Through guided narration, participants move together through the site - listening, observing, and becoming temporarily choreographed as a collective body. The walk invites reflection on what we throw away and what refuses to disappear. What does it mean to consume a lunch, a place, a story? What kinds of vocabularies do our trash cans hold?

Rooted in storytelling and embodied walking, TRASH CAN VOCABULARIES seeks to create a temporary community willing to question contemporary habits, critically examine systems of waste, encountering step-by-step what might be a very familiar everyday site as a new territory of speculative futures and possibilities.
