I have hosted bird-identification courses, bird walks, and lectures in institutions and organizations, and am always up for talking, discussing, and educating about birds and people. As a committee member of Ungir Umhverfissinnar (Young Environmentalists Iceland) and project leader of Migrational Practices, I view inviting others into emotional encounters with birds as the best way to connect and create lasting relationships with our feathered neighbors, and as an advisor for BirdLife Ung in Norway, I see how interest in birds early on in life can make ripple effects through a whole lifetime.
