Let me be your guide!
If you’re in Reykjavík or Iceland for a layover, a weekend, or get an occasion to go birding while on a family vacation – if you need to add a certain bird to your WP-list, want good photos of a specific species or are looking for the rush of finding nearctic vagrants, let me be your guide! I specialize in short and intense tours, often pointed towards specific species or locations, like Harlequin Duck, Barrow’s Goldeneye, Gyrfalcon, and alcids.
I welcome visitors wanting a guide for a specific time of day, a whole day, a weekend or more. I am happy to adapt the guiding to fit your needs, also if they happen to fall between the “regular tours” I offer. As all bird guides have to painfully disclaim: I ask that customers acclimatize with the reality that we might not see exactly what we hope. Birds are winged creatures after all. But, as Icelanders say: “Þetta reddast!” – It'll all work out in the end, let's give it our best! Read below for more info.
